What is a case competition?

Participants will be placed in teams consisting of PhDs, MDs, and MBAs to work on a business case study and will be tasked to research the client, industry, and present a solution to the judges in the form of a short presentation. The judges are coming from top consulting firms. This case will mimic an actual consulting case, and give the participants a unique platform to showcase the skills that consulting firms are looking for in a competitive applicant: critical-thinking, teamwork, communication and problem-solving.Breakfast and lunch will be provided to participants. The event will be followed by a networking mixer, giving the participants a unique setting to socialize with our judges and mingle amongst each other.

When and where is the competition?

The event will be held at the Liu Idea Lab for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Lilie) at Rice University on Sunday, April 15, 2018. The tentative timeframe is 8am-5pm followed by the networking mixer. A detailed schedule will be provided in the next few weeks.

Who is designing the business case study?
